Take a trip up to BIG BEAR to speed down the snowy mountains with friends. The fee will include transportation, food, lift tickets, and housing accommodations. Semi-Annual Teen Coalition Dodgeball Tournament

Battle it out with other teens from all the different teen organizations throughout San Diego in our EXTREME dodgeball tournament. Meet new friends and get plenty of time to battle it in teams of five in this rachmanus-centered competition. Fee includes t-shirts and refreshments. $5 JCC Member, $7 Non-Member.

CLUB J
2009 was the inaugural year for Club J, the premier nightclub for San Diego teens. With over 250 partygoers per dance, 2011 pumped up the party with dances ranging from white-out and New York City themes. 2012 is looking even better! Come dance the night away in our very own theater-turned-nightclub, including a professional DJ and an amazing atmosphere to get your groove on.

Come with your friends and party all night at the JCC. Dance in our theatre turned nightclub, chill out in the hot-tub, play pool, table-tennis, xbox kinect, hang out with friends, and maybe get some shut-eye. This will for sure be a night to remember. $15 JCC Members; $18 Non-Members.

In an effort to encourage teens to become emotionally well-rounded young adults, the teen department will be offering cultural programming that promotes intellectual development through the arts, film, theatre, literature, and music.

This year’s teen screen film will be selected by a teen focus group who will examine several films throughout the year and determine which film to show. San Diego’s Community Day of Learning will be jam packed with opportunities for teens. At 11:30am we’ll hear from Ransom Riggs, author of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, at 1:00pm we’ll be partaking in a social action project led by our Teen Leadership Council, at 2:15pm we’ll learn about opportunities in Israel, and at 3:30pm we’ll see the performance of Life in a Jar—a play about Irena Sendler who saved countless children during the Holocaust. The day will be an experience you won’t want to miss!

Join us for our first teen-led Passover Seder. Our Teen Leadership Council will plan, cook, and lead the Seder. Teens can really take ownership over this cultural and religious celebration and enjoy the story of the Exodus with friends!

Session III: Empowering Teenagers: How One Woman Changed History.

Parents and Teens will hear from Sarah Weddinging, one of the attorneys who successfully argued the Roe v. Wade case in the United States Supreme Court. Regardless of your political beliefs, this seminar will be historical, informative, and lead to discussion on how teenagers can be empowered leaders in their community.
